Abstract: In view of the problem that there were many kinds of water sources for water filling (outburst) in Wangzhuang Mine and it was difficult to discriminate the water sources of temporary water outburst points, based on the water quality analysis results of 142 water outburst points in Wangzhuang Mine, this paper made a systematic analysis of the water sources of each water sample, and divided in detail the main water filling sources that affected the safety production of Wangzhuang Mine, namely Permian sandstone fissure water, Taiyuan Formation thin limestone water, Ordovician limestone water and goaf (old kiln) water. Based on the basic principle of improved Fisher water source discrimination, the mine water source identification system of Wangzhuang Mine was designed to realize the rapid identification of temporary water outburst point water source.
