Abstract: The gob-side entry retaining technology was adopted in No.3109 Face of Xinjing Mine. Because the roadway was in the condition of large buried depth and medium thick coal seam, and the service period of roadway was long, the phenomenon of large deformation and high disrepair rate often occured when the roadway was reused in the adjacent mining face. The deformation rate of the roadway was controlled effectively by setting up the single column lifting shed, casting the flexible mold wall, building the gallows pile and the log point column in the first auxiliary air inlet and return air inlet. At the same time, the measures of grouting reinforcement on the coal pillar beside the roadway could effectively control the roof subsidence of the roadway to reduce 45% and the coal pillar wall holding amount to reduce 51%, which greatly reduced the disrepair rate of the roadway along the roadway.
