Abstract: In view of the fact that there is a certain amount of oxygen in liquefied natural gas (LNG) produced by direct liquefaction and concentration of low concentration coal-bed methane (CBM), the potential safety hazards in its storage were analyzed. The results show that reasonable control of oxygen content in LNG storage tank can effectively avoid the occurrence of safety hazards; The multi-channel BOG gas composition and temperature detection system and BOG gas replacement system are adopted for the storage tank, which can further enhance the storage safety of LNG. The research results provide theoretical guidance for safety precautions and standard formulation of oxygen containing LNG storage.
