Based on the sedimentary environment and geological structure evolution of No.21 coal seam in Yungaishan Minefield, this paper analyzes and studies the manifestations, formation mechanism and relationship between gas occurrence of strata slip structure in geological exploration and mine actual exposure data. The research shows that the sliding between No. 21 coal seam in Yungaishan Minefield is the comprehensive influence of the tectonic stress field activities in each period. The sliding structure between layers leads to the extremely unstable occurrence of coal seam, the destruction of the primary structure of coal, and the increase of ground stress, which increases the risk of coal and gas outburst.
