Using weathered coal in Jiaokou County of Shanxi as raw material and hydrogen peroxide as oxidant, through the experiment of oxidative degradation of weathered coal, the impact of coal/30% H2O2 solid-to-liquid ratio, oxidation concentration, oxidation temperature, oxidation time and coal particle size on the yield of humic acid in weathered coal was explored. The results indicate that oxidative degradation of H2O2 can effectively increase the yield of humic acid in weathered coal, but the greater the concentration of H2O2, the higher the oxidation temperature and the smaller the particle size of the coal, the more intense the reaction will be; the optimal oxidative degradation conditions are that coal /30% H2O2 (W/V) ratio is 1/3, H2O2 concentration is 15%, oxidation temperature is 50℃, oxidation time is 4 h and coal particle size is 120 mesh or more. Under these conditions, a higher yield of humic acid can be obtained.
