In order to solve the problem of inconsistency between the prominence sensitive index and the actual prominence hazard of Tunlan Mine, the relationship between prominence, gas content and gas pressure was investigated through prominence simulation experiment, and the predicted critical value of gas pressure was about 0.727 MPa and gas content around 7.689 m3/t. According to the linear discrimination method of Fish quasi-test, the critical value of No. 2 coal seam region prediction was 0.728 MPa of gas pressure, and the gas content 7.665 m3/t. Based on theoretical analysis and calculation, the sensitive sequence of No. 2 coal seam region prediction index was W>P. The research results were of great significance for the prediction of gas outburst risk in Tunlan Mine.
