The track anchor drilling vehicle is very important for the support of coal mining and mining. Luffing mechanism had a direct impact on the accuracy and structural stability of the drilling vehicle and was an important part of the drilling vehicle. A three-dimensional model of the luffing mechanism was established. Topological optimization of the front and rear webs and protection plates were performed using ABAQUS software to increase the stiffness and reduce the mass of the luffing members. Compared with the weight before optimization, the weight of the boom was 9.51 kg, the overall stress level of the boom was reduced, and the stress concentration point was reduced. The optimized luffing mechanism met the requirements of drilling positioning accuracy and stability.
