The 2-5111 working face air return roadway in the Huobao Ganhe Mine revealed the fault with mining 120 m. The deformation of the roadway was serious under the anchor net + anchor cable + shed type support mode. In order to further analyze the deformation mechanism of the roadway, the numerical simulation of the 2-5111 working face return air duct was carried out by ANSYS software. The simulation results showed that during the mining process, under the influence of the mining disturbance stress and the horizontal stress concentration of the fault fracture zone, the shearing of the roadway was caused, the deformation of roadway was aggravated. In order to ensure the safety of the fault of roadway, according to the geological conditions of the segment and experience, advanced grouting + anchor net supporting method was adopted, roadway surrounding rock control effect was good, the roof and floor move quantity was 124 mm, compared with previous optimization, reduced by 67.6%, and the largest deformation of the two sides was 101 mm, reduced by 67.7%, the deformation of roadway were allowed within the scope, the result showed that optimization scheme could provide effective guarantee for safety mining of working face.
