Aiming at the technical problems of large deformation and difficulty to control the surrounding rock of the roadway in the group of high stress penetrating faults, the extension of the belt roadway in the 76-2 # section of Wuyang Mine was taken as the engineering background. The distribution characteristics, deformation and stress field distribution law of the surrounding plastic zone were systematically studied. The results showed that the deformation of the surrounding rock of the roadway through the fault group was mainly caused by the softness of the surrounding rock and the fragmentation of the surrounding rock. At the same time, due to the high stress between the faults, the deformation and damage mainly occured at the roof of the roadway. Based on the above analysis, a surrounding rock control scheme of high-strength resin anchor + anchor cable was proposed. Industrial tests showed that the deformation of the roof of the roadway was large, about 119 mm on average, followed by two deformations of about 104.5 mm, and the minimum deformation of the floor was only about 88.5 mm, which showed that the support scheme could play a good role of rock control.
