Solid super acid is widely used in petrochemical industry because of its high catalytic activity, good selectivity and low environmental pollutionetc. The application of WO3/ZrO2 solid superacid catalyst in the fields of isomerization, alkylation, esterification, cyclization, nitration and hydrogenolysis of alkane were mainly introduced. It is pointed out that the compatibility research of super acid catalysts using in actual petrochemical reactions should be strengthened in the future, and according to the type of reaction, some catalysts with different structures and compositions should be develop to increase their conversion and selectivity; some cheap metals or metal oxides are used to modify the, for WO3/ZrO2 solids super acid is modified to extend its service life.
