Study progress of the efficiency and mechanism of the heterogeneous catalytic ozonation of refractory organic pollutants in water

Heterogeneous catalytic ozonation is a hot spot in the research of environmental treatment technology at present for degradation organic pollutants in water. Different catalysts in heterogeneous catalytic ozonation system for removal of refractory organics in water were reviewed, mainly include metal oxide, activated carbon, load type catalyst and other common catalysts. The life and the stability of the catalysts were also analyzed. The reaction mechanisms of catalytic ozonation for degradation of organic compounds were explored.
