The advantages of spray rigid polyurethane foam as thermal insulation material are excellent thermal insulation performance, good fireproof performance and long service lifetime. The research progress of domestic spray rigid polyurethane foam in recent years, problems exist in the practical application of heat preservation material which are that the flame retardation should be improved, spraying is really hard when temperature is less than 15 ℃ and volatilization of harmful organic gas during the spray process and corresponding solutions as adding flame retardant component, adopting novel non-thermal catalyst and high performance catalyst were introduced. Research and development of ozone free break foam was proposed. It is pointed out that the research of ozone free broken foam and cost-effective low smoke, low mammalian toxicity, no pollution, no halogen , high efficiency and flame retardant spray rigid polyurethane foam is the work direction in the future.
