Coal seam correlation is one of the most commonly used methods to study the distribution, stability and spatial variation of coal seams in coal geological exploration. By means of lithology, thickness, spacing and other methods, the coal measures were precisely identified by correlation analysis in Yang-Chi Coalfield, and the main steps in the research area of coal bearing strata identification were summarized. The research results not only solved the blind core and consistent drilling automation problem, but also provided the basis for planning area and similar area site exploration strata identification.
