Getting the information of cataclastic coal system is the key to evaluate the coal bed permeability of complex-tectonic area and the structural strength. By using the software of MATLAB image processing advantage, programed with typical crack system’s photos. After binarization, removing miscellaneous points, repairing and segmentation, the new single crack with easy operation corresponded to the original cataclastic information was obtained, based on this, automatic extraction crack’s area, length, average width and other parameters were got to realize quantitative analysis of crack.
