Based on analysis of hydraulic support column fault and jack fault,the fault tree consisting of four logical or gate, three logic and gate, eleven bottom events was established. The qualitative and quantitative analysis showed that system failure rate was 5.58% and reliability was 94.42%. And In the process of actual maintenance and routine maintenance, attention should be paid to column deformation, reduction or failure of column, spring failure, the deformation and leakage of jack, etc.The analysis result showed that the fault tree analysis method could be used in analysis of hydraulic support column fault and jack fault analysis, which could give a more scientific and objective analysis results.
