Based on equipment selection and mapping of fully mechanized working face reflecting special geological conditions of No.5 large angle heavy coal seam, types of hydraulic support, coal cutter, scraper conveyer and other corollary equipments were determined. The mining practice showed that equipment selection of fully mechanized working face in No.5 coal seam was reasonable, performance was superior and overall design was great. It had advantages of well adaptation, rational working resistance, good technical feature, and better safety performance and so on, which achieved production object of intensification and high yield and efficiency.
