Based on coal seam occurrence condition threatened by water disaster, North China Coalfield could be divided to different groups which were up group coal and under group coal with different water control techniques. DongPang Mine was a typical water prevention and control of mine in North China Coalfield, including these two different group coals. According to analysis of its special water prevention and control technology, it was clear that its water prevention work gradually moved toward systematization, standardization and streamline, which provided direction to similar coal mine.
