Ventilation management and gas control of 8310 large mining height working face during initial mining period were introduced. Adequate air volume and air stability of working face were guaranteed through reasonable wind distribution in initial mining period. Based on gas extraction in coal seam and high extraction roadway, gas bearing capacity of coal was early liberated. What’s more, gas release and agglomeration were reduced in manufacturing process, which made gas content in working face under norm standard. It provided experience and reference to ventilation in large mining height working face and gas control after taking some successful measures.
