The height of the water-conducting fracture zone in the 31303 working face of Shigetai Mine exceeds the goaf of the 22303 working face above. In order to ensure safety, it is necessary to carry out water exploration and drainage operations. In view of the shortcomings of traditional drilling rigs, such as high safety hazards, low operation efficiency and high drilling cost, ZDY4500 LFK automatic drilling rig was introduced for operation. In the application, the automatic drilling rig has problems such as sensor immersion and flushing fluid leakage. It has been improved by replacing the shell, strengthening the seal, and improving the algorithm. After improvement, the average drilling efficiency is increased by 28.1 %, and the unloading efficiency is increased by 14.6 %. The research provides a reference for the practical application of automatic drilling rigs.
