In order to solve the problem of instability of surrounding rock caused by roadway floor heave and its impact on underground operation safety, the characteristics of floor heave were analyzed in a return air roadway buried at a depth of about 890m in Pingmei No.1 Mine. It was determined that the main reasons for the occurrence of floor heave in the roadway were stress, soft rock characteristics, and floor water. Further numerical simulation analysis was conducted to analyze the characteristics of the bottom drum under grouting reinforcement and grouting + anchor cable reinforcement, and the deformation reinforcement scheme of the bottom drum with grouting + anchor cable full-size anchoring was determined. According to the actual verification of the underground working face, after adopting the new reinforcement scheme, the maximum deformation of the bottom plate of the return air roadway was within 70mm, providing a reference solution for improving the stability of deep and soft rock roadway.
