In Zhengcheng Coal Industry, the large amount of floor heave in the mining roadways of 3# coal seam has severely restricted on-site safety production. Through theoretical analysis and numerical simulation, it was determined that the significant floor heave in the mining roadways was caused by strong extrusion of the floor rock strata. A scheme of "roof blasting pressure relief + floor reinforcement support" was proposed to control the floor heave. The design parameters were as follows, blasting holes: depth of 9 m, angle of 15° from the vertical direction, and spacing of 0.5 m. Additional anchor bolts: installed in a single row at the floor corners of the roadway, with a length of 2 m, an angle of 15° from the vertical direction. Field tests were conducted in No.3207 track roadway. Monitoring results showed that after pre-splitting blasting of the hard roof and reinforcing the floor support, the amount of floor heave in the roadway was significantly reduced.
