In order to study hydrogeological conditions and water control measures of Xinsan Mine, its hydrogeological features, mine water filling conditions, water filling factors and mine water inflow as well as major aquifers were analyzed. The keys to prevent and control water work was to block all kinds of roadways that had been linked with three mine in early stage of mine construction and the closed pit, which prevented rising of water level after three pit closed and the factors that filled the mine under action of high pressure head. At the same time, the waterproof separation rock column between Sanxin mine and small coal mines was strengthened to prevent food accident caused by water filling in small mines. With depth development of coal mine, future flood control work should be focus on study and prevent mechanism of bass drum water inrush caused by aquifer, fault conducted water, -3.5 level old goaf water, woad and shanfuqing water.
