Based on overload gas emission in roadway driving period of coal seam, gas emission rule of working face was analyzed and the method of combining gas release with extraction was put forward. Through technical measures of coal seam injection, deep hole presplitting blasting and drainage borehole of deep hole pressure relief in two sides, gas concentration of heading face was 0.3 percent when roof coal was fractured during roadway driving, which effectively prevented occurrence of gas exceeding limit problems.
