The scraper conveyor was main transportation equipment in coal mining, whose reliable and stable operation directly affected coal mine production and straightness of the body directly affected the use efficiency. Based on principles and classifications of scraper conveyor, an automatic straightening scheme based on ATmega16A single chip microcontroller and ultrasonic sensor was proposed according to low level automation in production process. This scheme had characteristics of stable reliability, high automation, low cost and high detection accuracy, which improved relying on artificial straightening, and it had very high promotion value.
