Based on rapidly developing electric power enterprises in China and continuous growth of power installed capacity, the anti short circuit ability had become a key reason for power transformer accident, which caused damage for electrified wire netting and affected its safe operation. Thus, it was necessary to find reasons and analyze effect of transformer winding wire against short circuit capability to ensure safe and reliable operation of power grid. In this paper, effect of force specifications winding wire to transformer short circuit was discussed and a few measures were put forward.
