Based on soft structure of No.15 coal seam, low permeability coefficient and no protective layer mining, gas outburst disaster risk degree was high, and gas extraction was difficult, method of gob-side entry driving technology along goaf edge or leaving only narrow coal column was used to reduce pressure of outburst prevention and ensure safe mining, which had features of small pressure relief, fast tunneling speed, decreasing resources loss and improving recovery rate of coal pillar. This method had important guiding significance to safety production.
