Study on control of surrounding rock in 980m large section pump house

Based on difficult supporting of wild blue limestone cavern roof covering developed shale in lower yard pump room of Xingdong Mine, bolting-grouting combined support technique and ?organic combination between anchor strengthening technique and grouting stabilization technique were applied. With support of these measures, structure and properties of surrounding rock were improved and self-bearing capacity and integrity of surrounding rock were enhanced. Mine pressure showed that after 164 d observation, cavern deformation rate was less than 0.5 mm/d and deformation was less than 130 mm.
