Fundamental principles and detection results of comprehensive detecting instrument, portable mine geologic detection instrument and radio wave penetration instrument were introduced in this paper. Meanwhile, a variety of means to verify detection suitable for production of Weizhou Mine were formed gradually in accumulation of practical experience on the basis of summary and analysis of detection method and achievements of heading end and coal mining working face in actual production. Comprehensive geophysical prospecting method covering layers of mineralization included point to area, area to region, region to mine. Through years of practical application in production, this method were validated in determining fault zone in front of heading end, dividing stratum rich and poor water area, together with delimitating easy water inrush area and complicated tectonic zone with collapse column in working face, evaluating water disaster security in working face extraction, and determining efficiency and applicability of drain hole location etc.
