The pollution status of heavy metals in the soil around a nonferrous metal production company was determined and analyzed. The contents of Cr, Cu, Mn, Zn, Cd, Pb and Fe 7 heavy metals in 16 samples from 6 farmland, 10 places surrounding the company were determined and the heavy metal pollution status was evaluated. The results show that the pH of soil surrounding the company is weak acid; the soil that is most close to the production base and in which the content of Cu is higher belongs to the three national soil, other places are two soil; the soil samples in which the average contents of Zn and Cr in are less than the critical value, belongs to the national level of soil; the soil containing Pb and Cd belongs to the second national soil; the average content of Mn in two soil samples exceeds the background value of Mn content in Chinese soil; the average content of Fe is the highest in the measured content of metal elements, and the amount of Fe is far more than the content of the background value of Chinese soil.
