The CO2 / N2 tail gas discharged from coal-to-methanol is used as a raw material for the manufacture of soda ash by ammonia-alkali method, instead of the traditional ammonia-alkali limestone calcination to obtain CO2 process. Through the flow control, the CO2 concentration of the middle gas is divided into ten groups of experiments according to the 5 % increasing mode. Each group of experiments runs for 48 h, and the solid-liquid ratio of the carbonated lye at different middle gas concentrations is measured. The results show that the optimum CO2 concentration is 60%~ 65%, the liquid-solid-liquid ratio of carbonation removal is 40% ~ 50%, which meets the equipment requirements. The recovery of 100% CO2 from CO2 / N2 tail gas per ton of soda ash is 0.41 t, and the 1.1 million t / a soda ash project reduces methanol CO2 emissions by 451,000 t/a.
