Aiming at the technical problems of difficult gas extraction and low efficiency in low permeability coal seam, taking No.8 coal seam of Sucun Coal Mine as the engineering background, the high pressure pulse jet slotting fracturing technology is proposed as a means of permeability enhancement. The antireflection mechanism was revealed by theoretical analysis, and four groups of comparative experiments were designed to verify the effect. The experimental results show that the composite technology has significant advantages. In terms of daily average gas drainage concentration, it is 3.01,1.41 and 1.67 times that of conventional methods, single slotting and hydraulic fracturing, respectively. The daily average gas pure flow also increased to 2.86,1.42 and 1.62 times. In the 90 d extraction period, the effective influence radius reached 5.06 m, which was 2.56, 1.25 and 1.29 times that of the control method, respectively. In terms of engineering application, the drilling operation time of this technology is shortened by 60 %, 32 % and 20 % respectively, and the extraction time is reduced by 70 %, 50 % and 62 % respectively. The research shows that the high-pressure pulsed jet slotting fracturing technology can effectively improve the gas extraction efficiency of low-permeability coal seams and ensure the safe production of mines.
