This paper studies the technology of hydraulic fracturing roof cutting and pressure relief in the return airway of 15314 working face in Xinjing Coal Mine. Aiming at the problem that the medium-hard roof needs manual intervention to ensure timely collapse, the network fracture structure is formed by hydraulic fracturing before mining, which weakens the roof strength and blocks the lateral support pressure conduction. The technical principle, key layer parameter selection, fracturing hole design and construction technology are described in detail. The practical application shows that the technology can effectively improve the stress environment and ensure the safety of the roof.
