According to the principle of " one hole multi-purpose " from " coal mine geological work rules " ,  the method of combining drilling boreholes with gas control boreholes was used to find out the occurrence of coal seams and determine the original parameters. In the process of drilling through coal by directional drilling rig, due to the soft coal quality of No.II1 coal seam, the quality of borehole forming was poor, and the phenomenon of sticking occurred frequently. Through the research of mine specialized technical personnel, the experience of ground tubing drilling was used for reference, and the drilling tool was optimized. The tubing drilling process with elevation angle was successfully realized, which effectively solved the problem of sticking during drilling through coal and improved the drilling efficiency.
