Abstract: The formulation of anti-fog and anti-frost agent was designed to solve the problem of fog and frost formation in automobile windscreen. The factors affecting the anti-fog, anti-frost, effect duration of the product were studied. The results show that the composite surfactant, as an anti-fog component, can enhance the hydrophilic properties of the windshield surface (water contact Angle WCA<5 °) and make the surface fog-free. As an anti-frost component, the low-melting polyol can make the windshield frost-free at -18 ℃. As a film forming agent, ultra-low polymerization degree PVA can make the product form a uniform and dense film on the surface of the windshield, slow down the loss of anti-fog and anti-frost components, and make the anti-fog and anti-frost effect of the product last for more than 60 days. The anti-fog and anti-frost agent prepared according to the formula has been applied in the market.
