Abstract: In view of the low recovery rate of resources caused by the loss of triangular coal in the fully mechanized top coal caving face, the technology of reaching roof and bottom, roof support of Coal No.2 in Face No. 172402 of Dashucun Mine was firstly adopted. A complete support system was formed through the combination of original anchor mesh cable support, reaching roof and bottom, roof support. The final height of the open-off cut reached 5.2 m after undercover. This method improved the recovery rate, achieved the purpose of recovering the bottom triangle coal in the fully mechanized mining face, and there was a certain reference value for the preparation of the working face under similar conditions.
