Abstract： In order to solve the problem of over-limiting gas in hard roof, 18311 working face of Dongqu mine was taken as the research background, the gas management in mine through numerical simulation combined with field practice was studied, the distribution law of gas in the tunnel through simulation was determined, high drilling was adopted to extract gas, and the feasibility and superiority of the scheme was verified through field practice, which made some contribution to the efficient and safe mining.
