It is important for the safe construction of roadways to carry out the exploration and drainage work during the mining process. In this paper, the high drainage roadway at 15104 working face of Yangquan Shangshe Coal Co., Ltd. was taken as the engineering background, combined with the analysis of the on-site geological situation. Water discharge work was necessary, and reasonable design should be carried out for water exploration and discharge construction. Practice showed that the effect of water exploration and drainagewas good, which guaranteed the safe mining of high-drainage roadways, and provided a reference for the water exploration and drainage of other working faces.
