Research on composition determination and treatment process of pickling wastewater

The main components of steel pickling wastewater from a standard parts factory in Yongnian District of Handan were determined, and on this basis, two processes(calcium-potassium carbonate method and potassium hydroxide method) were used to treat the wastewater. The results showed that the discharge standard of the wastewater treated by calcium hydroxide potassium carbonate method was reached; at the same time, after treatment of each ton of pickling wastewater,15.2 kg of 96.6% potassium chloride and 48 kg of iron red were obtained. According to the benefit calculation, the income per ton of wastewater treatment is about 45.89 yuan.
