In order to find out the distribution of mine water and the amount of mine water resources, the waste mine water can be used reasonably. Based on data statistics and analysis, the distribution scope of abandoned coal mines in China was basically found out, and the amount of water resources of abandoned coal mines in China was estimated to be 47.86 × 108m3, which was mainly distributed in southwest and North China, among which Hunan, Guizhou, Sichuan, Shanxi, Hebei and other provinces had the largest distribution of water resources of abandoned coal mines. In the water shortage area, it can be used as the water source of underground reservoir and reserve water source. Through sewage treatment, most of mine water can provide new water source for the surrounding production and living water, which can not only effectively alleviate the problem of groundwater shortage, but also effectively improve the surrounding ecological environment.
