In order to objectively evaluate the feasibility of underground coal gasification, four first-level evaluation indicators for coal underground gasification resource conditions was set up, including geological structure characteristics, coal seam occurrence characteristics, hydrogeological conditions, coal and rock coal quality characteristics. The first-level indicators were refined into 20 secondary rating indicators such as coal seam thickness. Based on the evaluation system, the feasibility of underground gasification in the 6th coal seam of Ningzheng Mining Area was analyzed. It was found that the coal seam with a simple geological structure, the coal seam was stable and reliable, the coal and rock quality was excellent, the groundwater impact was small, and the lithology of the roof and floor was considered as mudstone, mainly siltstone, the ability of pollutants to penetrate was weak, fully demonstrating the obvious advantages of implementing coal underground gasification resources on the 6th floor of coal.
