Steam system is the key system for the normal operation of coal-to-ethylene glycol plant. Effective control of steam system under normal conditions is the key to ensure the stable operation of enterprise, effective control of steam system under abnormal conditions can minimize the losses of enterprises. The control methods of the steam system under normal and abnormal conditions (sudden stopping of a boiler, jumping of boiler induced draft fan/secondary fan, jumping of gasifier, sudden opening of steam vent valve etc.) were discussed.
