Based on the study of the law of gas occurrence and the geological structure characteristics of Changcun Mine, the influencing factors of coal seam depth, geological structure, lithology of top and bottom slab and hydrogeology were analyzed qualitatively, and the gas was measured in combination with mine. The amount of gushing predicted the outstanding risk of coal and gas in the 26 mining areas. The results showed that the buried depth of coal seam was positively correlated with gas content, and it was the main controlling factor affecting gas content. The gas type of No. 3 coal seam in No. 26 mining area was medium type, without danger of gas outburst.
