Types and harms of oil pollution in shearer equipment system was expounded, the failure forms of hydraulic system caused by oil pollution was analyzed. The measures of controlling oil pollution in shearer equipment system should be taken from three aspects, controlling oil pollution source, selecting suitable parameter filter and designing small oil tank. By studying the technology controlling oil contamination in the hydraulic system, the failure rate of hydraulic components in the equipment system wa significantly reduced, which was of great significance to the safety, stability and efficiency of the shearer equipment system in Zhulinshan Mine.
