Abstract the test of gob-side entry retaining by presplitting roof blasting and pressure relief was carried out in No.9203 Face of Shaping Mine. By analyzing the mechanism of roof cutting and pressure relief, combined with the geological conditions of the working face and the actual situation of the site, the technical scheme of gob-side entry retaining was formulated. The field application results showed that the displacement of roof and floor of retaining roadway was 480mm, and the displacement of two sides was 520mm. The reserved roadway section could meet the production requirements of the working face, achieving the expected effect.
