The thin coal seam with thickness of 1.2 ~ 1.6 m in Fengfeng mining area, generally has a small amount of gas emission ( except for mining protective layer ). However, with the gradual extension of the production area of Niuerzhuang Mining Co., Ltd.to the deep, the thin coal seam in the deep area also has the characteristics of high gas pressure and large content, and the single gas control technology can not solve the problem. In this study, comprehensive measures such as high-level extraction, ' Y 'type ventilation, and short-term pre-extraction of the coal seam in the working face were used to solve the problem of gas overrun in the working face during the mining period. At the same time, the best high-level extraction gas control experience of thin coal was explored through different high-level drilling hole heights.
