The experimental research on the determination of pH value of pre distilled sample solution in water quality ammonia nitrogen by Nessler's reagent spectrophotometry were conducted. Research has found that, the pH value of the pre distilled sample solution is closely related to the analysis results. Within a certain range, the absorbance of the sample solution after color development increases with the increase of the pH value of the color development solution. When the pH value increases to a certain extent, the absorbance basically stabilizes. When the pH value of the pre distilled sample is greater than 10, the measurement results are more accurate and reliable. When the pH value of the pre distilled sample is greater than 9, the spiked recovery rate of the spiked sample is greater than 95%.
