In order to solve the problem of rock burst prevention and control in isolated working face, taking No.21117 Face of Suncun Coal Mine as the research object, aiming at the complex conditions of three-side goaf and lower coal seam local goaf, the main influencing factors, prevention and control technology and microseism response law of rock burst were systematically analyzed through field practice. The research showed that the hanging roof structure of the overlying thick and hard key strata and the stress superposition effect formed by the surrounding goaf and the goaf of the lower coal seam were the key factors to induce the rock burst in the working face. The microseism monitoring technology could accurately capture the energy spectrum characteristics released during the deformation of coal and rock mass. According to this, the large-diameter drilling pressure relief was implemented, and the abnormal high-energy microseism events were not monitored during the whole mining process. The rock burst prevention effect was remarkable, which effectively reduced the mining risk of the island working face. The study revealed the microseism response mechanism of such isolated island working face, which provided an engineering reference for the prevention and control of rock burst under similar conditions.
