With the continuous development and utilization of mineral resources, mine water disaster was widely concerned as a major threat to the safety of mining production . This study focused on the construction method and specific application of mine water disaster knowledge ontology, so as to realize the effective integration and intelligent processing of mine water disaster information, and provide scientific basis for mine water disaster prediction and management. The research analyzed the types, causes and evolution mechanisms of mine water disasters firstly, and clarified the application requirements of knowledge ontology in mine water disaster management. Secondly, combined with the actual geological data, the extraction of mine water disaster characteristic parameters was carried out, the basic framework of knowledge ontology was established, and the ontology modeling language was used to describe, and the mine water disaster knowledge ontology was constructed. At the same time, this study proposed ontology reasoning and cancellation logic methods to enhance the adaptive reasoning ability of knowledge. In order to verify the practicability and effectiveness of the ontology, a series of experiments were designed. By comparing and analyzing with the traditional methods, the results showed that the constructed knowledge ontology could accurately represent and reason the knowledge related to mine water disaster, and the accuracy of core reasoning and recognition reached 93 %, which achieved good prediction effect in practical mine applications. In addition, this study also developed a mine water disaster management decision support system based on knowledge ontology, which could provide intuitive data analysis results and operation suggestions for mine managers, and could be used as the research basis for the construction of knowledge graph. In summary, the mine water disaster knowledge ontology and its application system constructed in this study provided a new tool for mine safety management. It had the characteristics of combining theoretical research and engineering application, and had a positive regional impact on the safety production and management of local mining.
