The No.5 coal seam roof sandstone fissure confined aquifer overlies minable coal seam in Fangezhuang Mine,which is close to the concealed outcrop area in the south of the mine field. The mining exposure showed that the roof water problem was increasingly prominent under the dual influence of the supply of the outcrop area and the Bigezhuang syncline basin structure. It was of great significance to analyze the characteristics of roof aquifer and the law of mining influence for the prevention and control of roof water disaster in this area. On the basis of collecting the mining and exploration data in this area, the development height of the roof water conduction fracture zone, the structural characteristics of the roof overburden rock, and the damage degree of the mining to the roof aquifer were analyzed. The large well method and hydrogeological analogy method were used to predict the water inflow of the regional mining face, and the corresponding countermeasures were formulated for the roof water damage.
