Abstract: In this paper, the minable coal seams in Baijiahaizi mine field of Dongsheng coal field in Inner Mongolia are taken as the research object. The coal rock and coal quality characteristics of each minable coal seam and the content characteristics of harmful elements in coal are analyzed, and the total resources of each minable coal seam are estimated. The results show that the recoverable coal seams in Baijiahaizi minefield of Nalinhe mining area in Dongsheng coalfield are mainly ultra-low ash, medium sulfur, low phosphorus, medium and high volatile matter, high thermal stability non-caking coal and weakly caking coal. The content of harmful elements in each mineable coal seam is generally low and has good selectivity. The Cl in coal mainly exists in inorganic form, and some of it can exist in water. As may be present in sulfide minerals in coal, and some may be related to organic matter in coal. Apatite may be the main carrier of P and F in each mineable coal seam. The resource estimation of each minable coal seam shows that the sum of the controlled intrinsic economic resources and the inferred intrinsic economic resources reaches 82 % of the total resources.
